Berlin is the capital city of Germany and one of the 16 states (Länder) of the Federal Republic of Germany , the trendsetter in terms of cultural attractions, lifestyle and nightlife. It is the most visited city in the country and the third most wanted city destination in the European Union.

David Bowie's description of Western Berlin, in the 1970s "The greatest cultural extravaganza that one could imagine" could be easily taken as the motto of this dynamic city. It is hardly to wish something you cannot find here: more than 150 museums - with the Museum Island area, near Spree river, as the diamond of the cultural crown -, over 50 theatres widespread all over the city, the amazing nightlife and alternative music stage, the famous Berlinale - the International Film Festival as well as various international fairs and significant international sports events. A tour across the lines of the former Berlin Wall is offering a good perspective of the past, present and future of the city. An open offer permanently increasing for all ages, tastes and budgets. 

English is widely spoken, but also French, Spanish, Turkish or Russian. 

The transportation network is offering fast and timely opportunities for browsing as many hot-spots as possible on both East and West Berlin. The prices are affordable with many free entrance events taking place every week.
