Enjoy the Holiday Hotels on Bintan Island, Indonesia
A Mini "How-To-Get-There" Guide to Hotels, plus Hotel Price Comparisons
Pulau Bintan, aka Bintan Island, is a popular destination for Singaporeans and visitors to Singapore. It’s an affordable choice for holidays, and an ideal retreat for a relaxing weekend. Bintan time is GMT +7, i.e. one hour behind Singapore time. Bring some Indonesian rupiah;hotels accept Singapore dollars too.

The 'Must-Dos' in Bintan- Spa Trips, Golf and Water Sports
Weekend holidays are not all about the hotels; Bintan also has sporting activities to offer. Golf courses in Bintan offer cheaper prices than Singapore’s, and water sports such as scuba diving and surfing can be done here. Poor visibility hampers the scuba diving slightly, and the waves are not spectacular at Mayang Sari resort.
Pasar Oleh Oleh houses many spas offering treatments at reasonable prices. Many hotels in Bintan also have their own spas as well.
