Silver Sage Winery

Silver Sage is one of those wineries worth the visit even if you don’t drink wine.  The dark rich interior of the spacious tasting room is as welcoming as it is elegant.

The owner Anna Manola is also the winemaker who draws experience from her family’s knowledge gained through generations of winemaking in Europe. She has developed some unique wines that have garnered a lot of attention with their distinct flavors.  There are the popular cherry and blueberry dessert wines, but the most distinctive is probably the Flame: a late harvest Gewurztraminer that includes a hot spicy pepper in the bottle.

With its large tiled terrace and garden gazebo, Silver Sage is becoming known as a destination wedding spot. They offer three luxurious suites for rent, telling guests that it is more of Bed and Booze than B&B, because they offer a bottle of wine as well as breakfast.

Driving Directions: Take highway 97 south of Oliver, turn east on Road 9 and follow the signs to the Silver Sage.
