bryan: Hi Daniel. I'm wondering, is there any way to see that Tioman app in action when you haven't got an iphone? Is there an emulator perhaps? Or are the app functions, features and contents basically the same as here?
Daniel: Hi, there is no emulator that you could use, and I am not aware of any way to "see" ther app in action. The features and look & feel are different than the website, the content is mostly the same.
mirthpro: Daniel, I am almost finished with the guide, hope to wrap up by New Year's! I have an overview but needs some fine tuning.
P.S. Guide Gecko isn't coming up on Firefox at the moment, but IE is OK.
Fiona: Hi Daniel, would it be alright to add a section/listing into the guide. I haven't done nearby places to visit, which i thought would be good for the guide. Or should i add it onto an existing section? let me know..
happytraveldog: Hi Daniel, All well here. We have finally sold our flat in London and are heading for SE Asia for 6 months from December onwards. I hope to catch up with you when passing thru Singapore next. Hope you are well? Regards Andy
Fiona: Hi Daniel, I've sent you the new TOC on the 10th of Sep via email, and again today, do let me know what you think. It would be best to publish the guide soon as there are many tourists travelling to Gokarna from October onwards.
Daniel: Hi Fiona, it is best to ask such questions in the Writers Cafe at http://www.guidegecko.com/writers-cafe. You will get faster answers there. To answer: Yes, enter the restaurants/hotels separately and place the marker on the map.
Fiona: hi Daniel, you mentioned earlier that all content had to entered into the system, however i find its pretty time consuming and the pics take a long time to upload. is there any way i can send you everything in word files along with pics.
travelwriterfromIndia: Hi Daniel,
Just wanted to confirm that you have received my earlier mail re. my having finished uploading the Mysore Guide. Thank yo u and regards, Bhagyalakshmi (travelwriterfromindia)
travelwriterfromIndia: Hi Daniel, When I inserted the link for Kabini River Lodge and Bandipur Safari Lodge in my Mysore Guide pages, it got linked to the guide on Karnataka. I have imm. rectified it at my end. Can I trouble you for a confirmation of the same. Many Thanks.
tezjito5: Singapore is one of my favorite places. I have been there a few times and have a number of film maker friends there. Chinese New Year is my favorite time there especially at the Kuan Yin temple. I hope to be spending a lot more time there.
Amate: Hi Daniel, Im having trouble. I announced my guide but it now has the old copy and the new copy and can't edit it? I'm clearly a newbie on your site...I'll improve with time but now I;m destined to be pain! sorry and let me know next steps.
kenasosa: Daniel.....question here. I notice that the way I type in external links is not always the way they appear once I save. There is no way for me to remove or edit them either. I thought should still be able to edit....any ideas?
DeborahDinah: OK Dnniel I give up = if I delete the entry all that happens is that I have to start over again and become a guru yet again...............I am confused.......... Can you make the downloading more simple or am I just stupid?
Went to add something
Added Fast food Slow eating
Clicked Add listing
Downloaded the 20 recipes.
Now what is weird is that through my firefox connection I can see this on your web site but not through google connection.
DavinaVB: 2. Also, when I type in external links, sometimes it inserts a backslash that I *know* I am not typing. It kept happening so I'm double and triple-checking, but when I click to enter the info, there's that backslash! What's up with that?
DavinaVB: Daniel, I can't find the link to that writers cafe, but I have some questions:
1. In the "Eat" section of my guide, it shows that I have 35 places listed. But it only shows 1-10 and 31-35. I have no idea where the other page went...?
