First timers in Singapore

For first timers with very little knowledge of Singapore, where are the recommended places to see? Where to get cheap local food? Is it easy to get around Singapore? Any other tips which one should take note?

I suggest going to heartland food court like the ones at Toa Payoh or Geylang for sampling good and cheap local food. Every neighbourhood should have a food court so there are plenty to choose! The places to see can vary from seeing the National Museum, Peranakan Museum and swing by Sentosa for Universal Studios. Getting around Singapore is easy as there are plenty of buses to get from Point A to Point B. You cant go wrong with MRT and taxis of course. Try to get around using public transport! Take note that the public transport rush hour starts 8am till 9:30am and 4:30pm till 8pm.
