Choose from a variety of Indonesian, Chinese, and Western restaurants on the main road. There is quality seafood at The Corner, The Gardena, The Lounge (here you get the best pizza), and The Matahari. There are also many masakan padang places along the main road, which are worth checking out for an inexpensive and filling meal. Opposite the TransNusa office there is a Coto Makassar place.
A beautiful view of the bay can be seen from any of the hilltop restaurants.
For a dose of nightlife, check out Paradise bar. Paradise Bar is a 10min walk north from the center of town, and the only bar that is open until late. It has a fantastic view of the sunset. Every saturday there is live music till late night.
