Bahasa Melayu (aka Malay) is Malaysia's official language but its multiculturalism ensures that English is widely spoken, as well as Indian and Chinese dialects such as Tamil or Cantonese. It's really quite rare to come across someone who doesn't know even watered-down English, especially in cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur (but you shouldn't be as surprised in, say, Kuantan). People that you have to interact with, shopkeepers, sales people, officials and hotel personnel, should be able to speak clear English. Also, all road signs are in Bahasa Melayu, which is written using a Roman alphabet.
Describe the main aspects of Kuala Lumpur Languages in general. Write in the 2nd person ('go there/when we went' instead of 'I went/this writer went/one can go'). Tell it as it is, but stick to the facts.
