Shahbandar jetty is located in downtown Kuala Terengganu, in front of a huge post office and very near Chinatown. Private and public ferries depart from here to Pulau Redang. A jetty fee of RM5 is compulsory payment.
Sejahtera Ferry is the public ferry provider between Shahbandar and Redang. Timings are 9AM, 10:30AM and 3PM - but these are dependant on tide and weather conditions. A return trip will set you back RM100.
Redang Beach Resort and Berjaya Resort have booths at Shahbandar jetty. If you are traveling independently, i.e., without package, you have an option of taking their private boats as well. This, too, will cost RM100.
Most folks traveling to Redang buy a package in Kuala Terengganu, which is really the best way to handle Pulau Redang. The travel agents will sort out all the details for you; all you need to know is where to be (Shahbandar or Merang) and at what time.
Describe the main aspects of Shahbandar Jetty. Write in the 2nd person ('go there/when we went' instead of 'I went/this writer went/one can go'). Tell it as it is, but stick to the facts. Do not enter another listing here; create a
