The Orion Happy Park is actually the Orion Beer Factory. Visitors can take a free tour around the plant and although the entire tour is in Japanese, foreign visitors are given an English language brochure.
The tour takes about 45-50 minutes and after that there is a beer tasting. The factory is quite impressive, super clean and efficient. If you are into beer it is a tour for you. At the tasting each person is given two tickets to taste two different types of Orion Draft beer. For ¥300 you can taste a third beer. Designated drivers and those under 20 (legal drinking age in Japan) are given a ticket for a soft drink.
There is a restaurant called the Yanbaru no Mori adjacent to the tasting area where you can order snacks to accompany the beer or a full meal. The restaurant is quite popular with locals coming in for a special meal and the food tasty.
There is also a shop selling souvenirs, including Orion Beer t-shirts and key rings.
