Si Saket is a town in Southern Isaan, Thailand.

With long history, the area around Si Saket once had a prosperous culture since the Khmer era over one thousand years ago. Moreover, there are many ethnic tribes such as Suay, Lao, Khmer, and Yer settled down here. Si Saket became a town in 1759, during Ayuthaya period. In the reign of King Rama V, or around a century ago, the town has been moved to the present location.

Rich of Khmer Ruins, Si Saket is an interesting destination. It is also gateway to visit Preah Vihear, a cliff-top Khmer ruins sanctuary of Cambodia (which can be visited without requiring a Cambodian visa). The province has plenty of fruits, such as rambutan and durian, which are available at the beginning of rainy season. Much of the local population are farmers earning an average of about 100 baht per day.
