Isshinkobo is a wonderful shop to walk around in, especially if you have kids.  There is a back room where kids can read books and play with some of the toys made here.

Entering the shop is a delight as you are met with colourful artwork, products and the smell of different types of wood including Camphor.

Isshinkobo specialises in wooden toys such as blocks, cars and rocking horses.  They also make wooden name plates, clocks and vases.

If you are interested in ordering items to be specially made, it is best to call before visiting to confirm opening times.  All items are handmade by Mr Maja Tsuyoshi, who started woodworking in 1983.  He has his workshop behind the shop.

Look out for the colourful rocking giraffe marking the entrance to the parking lot beside the shop.

From Kyoda Expressway Exit head north on Route 58 to Ogimi Son.  Isshinkobo is 500m past the Hentona High School on the right hand side of the road.

From Nago Bus Terminal take Bus Number 67 to the Hentona Koko Mae Bus Stop.  Isshinkobo is 500m further north from the High School.
