Okinawa Money & Shopping

Naha City and Chatan are the most popular areas for shopping both for visitors and locals.  There are markets such as the Hamby Night Market and Makishi Public Market.

Visitors can spend hours browsing around shopping malls such as Oroku Jusco and Depot Island.  There are also large superstores such as the Pet Box and Kamera No Kitamura.

For souvenirs the many shops along Kokusai Dori offer the biggest variety in the smallest area.  There are also specialist areas to buy souvenirs such as in the Yachimun no Sato or Ryukyu Glass Village.

In the more remote areas of the north and south small general stores such as Minato Store and Oku Kyodo Ten are interesting to walk around.
