Kampung Air Batang or ABC has an authentic village feel combined with some modern comforts.
This village attracts more backpackers than any other kampungs in Pulau Tioman due to the low costs for accommodation. A single/twin room could start from as low as 25RM. The rooms are all in hut/chalet forms and are mostly clean if not a little old.
Food is cheap and tasty here and mainly provided by resorts' cafes.
Much of Air Batang's beach is covered with dead coral and rocks, such that it is difficult to even walk along the shores from one end of the village to the other. There are only two stretches that travellers can lounge in, which is the extreme north and south ends in front of Nazri's Place and ABC Bungalows respectively.
