Berjaya Hotel is the only international-standard hotel on Tioman. Everything else are chalets; most of them are rather decent while others are even better than decent. Rooms come with blankets, towels and soap. Most have a little verandah with chairs where you can unwind after a hard day's work at the sea.
Some kampungs have more sleeping options than others. Salang, for example is packed with options. Air Batang or ABC has a number of places too, with average rates around 40-50RM. Tekek, the centre of Tioman, has accommodation averaging about 80-100RM.
