Berjaya Hotel

The Berjaya Hotel is the only international-standard resort on Pulau Tioman. You'll be able to enjoy modern facilities amidst the semi-untouched nature on the island.

The list of facilities in this resort is extensive. You will be well entertained within the resort grounds with tennis courts, an 18-hole international golf course, beach volleyball area, entertainment centre and more.

Should you get a little bored from sifting sand through your toes, there's kayaking, windsurfing, parasailing and more. Tired after that? The in-house spa should take care of all the sore muscles.

Guests are able to book trekking, snorkeling and diving trips through the activities centre at the reception as well as rent bicycles to do some exploring on your own.

Obviously, such luxuries comes with a premium price tag and are probably not suited to the budget traveller who doesn’t mind showering with cold water and sleeping without the air-con on.

Rooms are spacious, compared with the other chalets in Tekek, with the Standard Chalet (from 400RM) at the lowest category and the Junior Suite (700RM) at the highest. Deluxe Chalets (from 570RM) face the sea. However, rooms are not nothing to brag about although it is much cleaner than the other lodging options in the village.

Berjaya Resort has a baby-sitting service that is great for parents who wish to have some alone time to enjoy the pleasurable offerings of a tropical island.

There is a free shuttle bus service to and from the resort and jetty. Timings towards the jetty are 9:00am, 11:30am, 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Berjaya Resort sends a car that will wait by the jetty according to the ferry timings, you will see it as you exit the jetty.

To get to the airport, just arrange it with the staff. The last shuttle from Berjaya is 1pm. As with the ferry, the resort will send a vehicle to wait at the airport according to flight timings.

Directions

Located south of Tekek jetty, hop on the free shuttle bus, from either the jetty or the airport, to get there. It is free and you do not need to be a guest to use it.
