Suntec City is home to numerous convention halls, office towers, a gigantic shopping mall and what was listed in 1998 by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest fountain in the world. Visitors to the mall should be prepared to walk - the length of the mall covers quite a distance, with shops, restaurants and even a cinema located on the top floor. The basement offers dozens of food choices and different types of cuisines, and offers a good view of the inside of the Fountain of Wealth. Visitors are encouraged to walk around the middle of the fountain several times for good fortune. Suntec City's convention centres are frequently used for significant conferences and meetings such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Conference held there in November 2009.
