Old Airport Road Cooked Food Centre is a hawker centre located along Old Airport Road as its name suggests. It is a popular place and can get extremely crowded during lunchtime. Having undergone renovation work in 2007, the Food Centre now has more tables, better ventilation and is much cleaner than it used to be. There are also sundries stall on the second level.
Some of the recommended stalls include Chao Zhou Fishball Noodles, Whitley Road Big Prawn Noodles and Lao Fu Zi Fried Kway Teow. Queues at Xin Mei Xiang’s lor mee (braised yellow noodle) often span 20-30 minutes.
