Built over the waters of the Marina Bay waterfront and opened in July 2010, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore has already been making waves internationally.
In June 2011, the luxury hotel was named one of the world’s 50 best new hotels by Travel + Leisure (US) – the only hotel in Singapore to have made the magazine’s “It list”. This achievement followed hot on the heels of earlier announcements that the hotel had made it into the Condé Nast Traveler (US) and Condé Nast Traveller (UK) Hot Lists 2011. Travel + Leisure (US) described the hotel as a “real gem”, a description quite fitting for the hotel whose lighted façade sparkles like a diamond at night.
All 100 rooms and suites at the hotel feature full-length windows and private balconies which afford guests a panoramic view of the Singapore skyline and Marina Bay waterfront, and also lend a feeling of spaciousness. The top three levels of the hotel house six exclusive suites, each reflecting an aspect of Singapore’s varied cultures. The five Theme Suites feature carefully selected furniture, fabrics and artwork that celebrate the Chinese, Malay, Indian, Peranakan and colonial cultures. The 152-sq-m Presidential Suite is a vibrant mix of all cultures, a fusion of East and West, old and new.
The hotel’s strategic location on the fringes of the Central Business District and close proximity to the Marina Bay Financial Centre – as well as key attractions such as the Merlion, the Esplanade and the Singapore Flyer – make it appealing both to business travellers and tourists alike.
A day at The Fullerton Bay Hotel might begin at Clifford with breakfast against the stunning waterfront backdrop viewed through the sweeping 10-m-high floor-to-ceiling windows. Relaxation could continue in the afternoon, with a leisurely tea at The Landing Point. Evenings can be whiled away at the rooftop infinity pool, or at the vibrant rooftop bar, Lantern, accompanied by live music.
