This shop selling salt-baked chicken is located along East Coast Road. Although its name includes ‘Serangoon’, it is nowhere near Serangoon but there is another outlet located along Upper Serangoon Road. The chickens are also known as Chakey's Salt-baked Chicken.
Salt-baked chicken is essentially chicken cooked with soy sauce and oil and wrapped in aluminium foil. Take note that the chickens purchased here are not for dining in and are only for takeaways as there is no dining area. The shop is usually deserted but that is only because most customers just call for delivery.
Many Singaporeans have praised the quality and taste of the chicken and in particular the sauce but it can be relatively more expensive than a somewhat similar chicken purchased at supermarkets like Cold Storage. The chickens are sold in three sizes, namely small, medium and large.
Describe the main aspects of Serangoon Salt-baked Chicken. Write in the 2nd person ('go there/when we went' instead of 'I went/this writer went/one can go'). Tell it as it is, but stick to the facts. Do not enter another listing here; create a
