Hajjah Fatimah Mosque is a fully functioning mosque built in 1845-1846. It was gazetted as a national monument on 28 June 1973 and is part of Kampong Glam's heritage. It stands in the midst of residential flats and has a quiet and tranquil ambience.

The mosque is named after Hajjah Fatimah, a wealthy Malaccan Malay businesswoman whose house once stood on the site where the mosque is now located. She donated the land to the construction of the mosque in 1845 after being protected from an arson attack and two break-ins on her home.

This mosque has architecture displaying both Islamic and European influence as J. T. Thomson, a colonial government surveyor, built it. The attraction of the mosque is its interesting minaret beside the gold onion dome, which looks almost like a church steeple. The minaret also tilts 6 degrees off centre, housing the living quarters of the Imam (an Islam priest that leads the congregation in prayers and reads from the Quran).
