Arab Streetis a popular tourist destination in the Kampong Glam district famous for textiles and carpets. The shop houses found on both sides of the street house numerous textiles and carpet stores including Bobby Fabrics, Sarvan's Carpets and Rishi Handicrafts.
There are a number of Middle-Eastern eateries on Arab Street too including the famed Cafe Lé Caire @ Al Majlis. The textile and carpet stores cater mostly for tourists but the eateries are popular with locals and tourists alike.
Arab Street is generally quiet during the day but crowded on evenings and weekends. It has a vibrant night scene in the Kampong Glam district.
