Part café, part living room, The Book Café sits quietly at the end of Mohamed Sultan road. Its indoor area is divided into two sections- a cafe and a lounging area with plush sofas to sit about 15 people. From outside, it looks like any other coffee joint. Ideal for intimate conversations over coffee or a lychee frost (lychee smoothie), this café hints at pretentiousness with its lingering french jazz music.
It is stocked with literary goodness- from the latest international and local magazines to its collection of international newspapers. Although some of the books are outdated, it does hold a variety of fiction and non-fiction fare from travel guides to self-help books. Bonus points for trying to be kid-friendly as well- it provides children's books, toys and a kiddie-toilet seat. Most patrons are found nursing a book, quietly discussing a project or typing furiously onto their laptops. A hideout suited for laid-back yuppies.
Describe the main aspects of The Book Café. Write in the 2nd person ('go there/when we went' instead of 'I went/this writer went/one can go'). Tell it as it is, but stick to the facts. Do not enter another listing here; create a
