Crossing over from Clarke Quay past the Novotel, the mood used to lower and you were welcomed by laid-back, quiet enjoyment. Compared with Clarke Quay, this is still true, and Robertson Quay remains a favorite by mature couples, families and others looking to wine and dine in quiet conversation.

However, in recent months, the scene gets more lively and more young people come over. The striking bar of the lot, eM by the River, is nestled in lush greenery and plays lounge and chill out house tunes. Popular nightclub Zouk sits at the far end, just behind Robertson Quay.

By day, residents are seen jogging or walking their pets by the river. Don't miss to take a look at the colorful Alkaff Bridge, named after one of the first Arab settlers in Singapore.

Hotels such as River View Hotel and Grand Copthorne Waterfront border the river at Robertson Quay, offering spectacular views and easy accessibility for guests. Other hotels include one of Singapore’s most esteemed boutique hotels, The Gallery Hotel

Walk from Clarke Quay up the Singapore River, or take a Taxi.
