Tired of walking around among the skyscrapers in Singapore? Go for a change and visit Sentosa. The island is less than fifteen minutes away from Singapore and there are plenty of activities and accommodation for everyone. Perhaps all you need is a good retreat or a short weekend break. The following is a list of Sentosa hotels and resorts.
Siloso Beach Resort
Siloso Beach Resort is regarded as Sentosa's Eco resort with lush greenery around it. The resort is located minutes away to the beach front and bars. Siloso Beach Resort is furnished with teak wood, pavilions with thatched roof and even has a spring water landscape pool. If you are into green resorts, Siloso Beach Resort is your ideal accommodation.
Rooms
There are over 182 rooms and six different types of rooms to choose from. The Superior, Deluxe, Family, Roof Garden Suites, Glass Loft and Villas. All rooms are equipped with television, ensuite bathroom, internet access and coffee and tea maker. Book the Family room or Villa if you are in large groups or would like to hold a celebration. The Villas come in one and two bedroom. The two bedroom Villa even comes with a private pool.
Facilities
Out of all the Sentosa hotels, this one has the only 95 metres spring water swimming pool in the whole of Singapore. There is a small slide at the side too. You can go for walks in the open pathways around the resort or simply head out to the beach bars.
Dining
Alfresco Cafe is set outdoors on the ground floor. Siloso Beach Resort claims that they only uses homegrown herbs for their dishes. Although the beach is just minutes away, a particular beach bar sits right in front of this Sentosa hotel. Unfortunately, the beach view is not that great but you can still feel the island vibe.

Costa Sands Sentosa
Costa Sands Sentosa is family oriented and has rooms to suit both couples and families. The resort is located at Siloso Beach and not too far away from Siloso Beach Resort. There is nothing fancy or luxurious about Costa Sands Sentosa but it is a pretty good accommodation if you are on a budget.
Rooms
There are over 49 rooms and two types of room categories. You can choose either the Deluxe Room or Kampung Hut. The Deluxe Room is fully air-conditioned, has attached bathroom, television with cable, mini fridge, coffee and tea maker and free WIFi. Whereas the Kampung Hut is fully air-conditioned, has only two double decker beds and free WIFI. There is a common toilet and shower facilities nearby.
Facilities
This basic resort at Sentosa has a swimming pool, barbecue pits, coffee shop, video game machines and a sundry store.
Dining
A Halal coffee shop is located within the resort and sells local dishes such as spring roll, satay and chicken rice.

The Sentosa Resort
If all you seek is solace and privacy, book a room at The Sentosa Resort. It is a luxurious resort and ideal for honeymooners as well. The resort is located at Tanjong Beach Walk and it is way quiet than other beaches. Sentosa Resort is awarded for its best Spa Botanica which is the first and only garden destination spa in Singapore.
Rooms
There are six types of rooms to choose from, Deluxe Room, Junior Suite, Family Suite, Deluxe Suite, Beaufort Suite and Garden Villa. All rooms include a plasma television with cable, writing desk, internet access and ensuite bathroom. As for the Garden Villa, there is a private driveway and swimming pool.
Facilities
Go for a deep Shiatsu massage or a facial treatment at Spa Botanica. There is also a Seven Eden Wellness Centre, which offers aerobics, yoga and card sculpt classes.

Amara Sanctuary Resort
Amara Sanctuary Resort is an exclusive boutique resort on the island and one of the more expensive options out of all Sentosa hotels. Book a room here only if you have the time and money to spend. The resort is located at Palawan beach and sets atop the hill facing the sea. Amara Resort is the winner of Singapore Tatler Awards 2010 for Best Resort.
Rooms
There are varieties of rooms from Deluxe Room, Premier Room, Verandah Suite, Courtyard Suite, One-Bedroom Pool Villa and Two-Bedroom Pool Villa. All rooms are fully air-conditioned, comes with television, ensuite bathroom and internet access.
Facilities
Like any other resorts, Amara Sanctuary too has swimming pools and a fitness centre. There are three swimming pools available. The rooftop infinity pool, dream pool and children's wading pool. The dream pool and wading pool are located in the landscape gardens.
Dining
From local, Japanese, Thai and to French cuisine are available at this Sentosa's boutique resort. You can dine at Shutters for local food, Sibon for Japanese dishes, Silkroad of the Sea for seafood, Thanying Restaurant for Thai food, Tier bar for good cocktails and Braise for French cuisine.

Capella Singapore
This is Sentosa's premier hotel and it offers only the best service and rooms. Capella Singapore is located at The Knolls, which is near Sentosa Gateway. The hotel is furnished with sleek and modern interiors. Since Capella is set atop a hill, you can bet an eyelid for its amazing view of the sea.
Rooms
Capella Singapore offers Premier Rooms, Suites, Villas, Manor and Club Bedrooms. Even the smallest room comes with a dear price. The view and interior are probably worth the price! All rooms are fully air-conditioned, comes with LCD television, ensuite bathroom and complimentary drinks. The Manor are worth booking if you are in large groups of six to eight. Mind you, the price will certainly blow off your mind.
Dining
The Knolls, Cassia and Bob's Bar are Capella's finest restaurants. The Knolls offers international dishes from local, Western and Japanese. Cassia offers Oriental dishes and uses only organic ingredients. Bob's Bar is set outdoors and serves good cocktails that comes along with light snacks.
