Taxis are a popular option to get to Johor Bahru in Malaysia and even beyond.

Taxis to Johor Bahru, which is located immediately behind the Causeway border crossing, cost S$32 per trip, for four persons. The Singapore-Johor Taxi Terminal is at Queen Street, near Bugis MRT station, and the drop-off point is at the Johor Bahru Taxi Terminal at Pasar Bakti Kotaraya II.

Although significantly more costly than the bus, a taxi is far more convenient as you do not need to leave the car for custom inspection; the taxi driver will drive by the checkpoint where the immigration procedure takes place.

The direction from Johor Bahru to Singapore is cheaper, with fares around RM$60 per taxi.

I have used cross-border taxis on a number of occassions. They are fine if you know what you are doing, but bad if you need some help in getting around or making enquiries. That drivers simply want to take you from point A to B and collect their payment.

Once in M'sia, you will need local taxi to get to your actual destination. When traveling in groups, I prefer to hire a minivan w/driver. He takes us to whever we want & back to Singapore. No time lost & affordable. I use www.tjitransporter.com for this.
