Located diagonally opposite to IKEA at Alexandra Road is one of the oldest shopping malls in Singapore, Queensway Shopping Centre. It is locally renowned for retailing sports gears at competitive and relatively cheaper prices.
Numerous retail stores on the first and second levels of this mall sell sportswear, sport shoes and sports equipments such as rackets and weights.
Optical shops selling prescribed glasses and branded fashion sunglasses are also scattered around the first and second levels of this mall, together with a handful of fashion boutiques.
One should check out a few stores and haggle before purchasing any item, as most stores tend to mark up the original prices.
Generally, store assistants here are quite unfriendly and service a drag, but for cheaper sports gears and a taste of the local shopping experience, Queensway Shopping Centre is a good option.
There are a couple of eateries here, including fast food joint, Mcdonald's.
Describe the main aspects of Queensway Shopping Centre. Write in the 2nd person ('go there/when we went' instead of 'I went/this writer went/one can go'). Tell it as it is, but stick to the facts. Do not enter another listing here; create a
