Suches is a tiny town just outside of Blairsville. What it lacks in size it makes up in beauty. State Road 180 which winds through some beautiful mountain scenery and past placid Lake Winifred Scott en route from Blairsville to Suches is a favorite with bikers because of its challenging curves. There are many dirt roads that lead into the mountains around here and the woods are filled with fast rushing creeks whose rocky banks are covered with rhododendron, dogwood, mountain laurel and wild azalea. Few botanical gardens match the natural beauty of the mountain woods.
