why add articles? Deleting entries?

I noticed there is space to upload articles. Are we
> supposed to be uploading articles we wrote for the guide, or existing articles
> found on the topic? Also, it doesn't appear we can delete entries at all. If I
> decide to no longer include one for lack of information, what would I do?

For my Taiwan guide, I'm adding more than a dozen articles. Each gives background e.g. history, religion. One is a reading list, another will give users some information about getting from place to place.

Hi Kena,

Articles are for "articles (you) wrote for the guide".

Articles are essentially the same as listings - both are pages to be included in your guide. However, in contrast to listings, articles do NOT have a map location and no quick facts. Articles are therefore better suited for background information and "best of" lists, such as "What food you must try" or "The 5 best places to sleep".

Please also see this: http://www.guidegecko.com/help-publish2#how-to-add-something

It explains the differences between articles and listings in more details (see step 2), and it also has a video tutorial on that topic.

For deleting entries: Please let me know which entries you would like to delete, and we will do this for you. Please post the URLs here.

Hope that helps,
