Would you recommend Gokarna for a romantic get-away?

Hey Fiona,

I was planning to go with my fiance to Gokarna in October 2011. We are flying in from Australia, for a month's trip in India. We're going to be visiting Goa, Karnataka, Kerela and then maybe North India.

Wanted to check, would you recommend it for a romantic get-a-way? Something quite... Is it safe for an unmarried couple to be there on their own? Let me know. Thanks.
